Osmia/hoplitis
Hi,

Was out at RSPB Fen Drayton this morning and came across this little bee. Unhelpfully the pollen basket is completely covered in pollen so I can't see what colour the hairs are, is it possible to work out what species this is from other characteristics?

The size and general jiz says Hoplitis - would not like to say which of the two species it is.

Update, I've now had this ided as spinulosa on the basis of the blue spotty eyes (claviventris has dark eyes). Apparently this feature isn't mentioned in keys because the colouration fades soon after death.
