| |  Identification needed please
Saw what I thought was a little red Mirid bug so I photographed it. Got home on the PC had a look and saw the insect on the left of it...
Appears as see through/opaque with long legs, long antennae and long lace like wings at the back...
Any help gratefully acknowledged,

The red bug looks like an Anthocoridae nymph, it's eating an aphid.

Like the - Anthocoridae - just googled it, found pirate bug nymph pictures that look the same, now to find the aphid

There's a lot of aphids, if you know what plant it was on that can help but they aren't always on the host plant. Sycamore aphid looks close..

Looking at the pattern on the leaf it could be a sycamore, but if memory serves me correctly it was a Birch tree.
Just tried something really stupid - Googled Birch aphid - came up with this

You weren't at all stupid, a simple google is usually the best way to find anything! It does look good to me too! I see the owner of the photo is Aphidman, one to watch!
