What a little cutie Bruce! I haven't seen one like this! 
There is one on bugguide which looks much the same, Lepinotus reticulatus but it doesn't seem to be here.
The Barkfly Recording Scheme has Lepinotus patruelis but it doesn't quite match up.
I found another pic of Lepinotus reticulatus which looks like yours in New Zealand!

I found a pic marked as Lepinotus patruelis which does look like yours, probably immature nymph.

What threw me was the lack of wings on the ones on the BRS Bruce, they seem to have an adult and a nymph. I imagine the females are wingless, yours might be a male.
