Fast moving biting insect

Hi guys,

The other day I felt that I was being bitten by something on my arm, so I pulled back my sleeve and saw a really fast moving insect, it was probably about 0.6/0.7mm was dark red brown in colour, 6 legs I think, round body and round head. It was moving really fast on my skin and had bitten me.

I have seen another today and it was crawling on my laptop screen, again moving very fast. I killed them both!!!

I have a dog and 4 cats, each are regularly front lined, it was def not fleas.

any ideas, i feel itching just thinking about them.

I have a 4 month old baby so need to make sure that these dont affect her in any way

Perhaps you could take a photograph of the remains and post it here- would help enormously in making an identification.
