| | | Like a shield bug, but not Found this when sweep netting a wildflower strip. Reddish brown in colour. Looked a little like a shield bug, but without the 'shield'. The edge and surface of the abdomen were rough rather than rounded and a smooth line. Using an awful camera, so didn't come out well.

I've seen lots of the adults and probably had them down as a type of shield bug, but none in this form I don't think. Now I know what the adults that I've seen before are, so thank you vey much

...and why not have a look at the excellent B r i t i s h b u g s site ,you'll have to take the spaces out when you type it in as they dare not speak it's name on WAB.
