| | | Scarce Blue Tailed Damselfly I was delighted this afternoon when this little fella stopped by for a bit of a photo shoot, I've never seen one of these before. Unfortunately, I had the camera on a tripod and I just couldn't get close enough, but it made my day.
I don't think it came from my pond. |

The similar scarce blue-tailed damselfly is at the northern edge of its range in Britain. A red data species I have only seen in Devon. |

A Blue-tailed Damselfly, which is something that you've not seen in the area before, hence your addition of the adjective "scarce"
