This one seems like Chrysotoxum festivum but a bit wrong, could it be vernale?

Any other photos, Ken? I'm thinking more about Dasysyrphus albostriatus. They can also have those two parallel lines on the thorax.

Hi Geoff,
Thanks a lot - I suspect you've got closer than me with this one - and the pic isnt clear enough to be sure really, and I dont have another either.
I notice Stubbs and Falk say D. albostriatus is like a small version of C. festivum, so I wasnt tooooo far out, but thanks for input, seems much, much better for your suggestion!
