| | | what has the crab spider caught ? This was cropped from a photo of a Meadow Brown on Small Scabious, after noticing that a Crab Spider lurking beneath the flower had caught something.
I wonder if anyone can identify the prey and perhaps the Crab Spider ?

Thanks Woodman. I almost risked suggesting a Xysticus sp. which I think is what I saw a couple of years ago on Mint with a Lasioglossum (calceatum ?) in its mitts.
