Fly Id from Ashridge on brambles ?
Saw many of these on brambles on the Ashridge Estate, Bucks on Saturday.

The body length was approx 1.5 cm and were found on brambles, have thick bristly hairs on rear of abdomen, any help in ID'ing ?

It looks like Tachina fera with those red legs.

Yes - its Tachina fera. Just starting to see a number of records come in, so it looks as if the second breed is emerging.

Could I have the record details please.
