| | | Re: Several Grasshoppers for ID, UK Going by the antennae I'd say that atleast some, but possibly all the Field Grasshopper types are actually Rufous Grasshopper - Gomphocerippus rufus, these weren't at Box Hill by any chance were they? 3, 5 and 7 certainly look like this species, and 1 and 4 could be too. I'd agree that 2 is a Meadow Grasshopper, and six is a female Stripe-winged. The ovipositor shape is a good id feature, it appears as a small hook at the tip of the abdomen in this species whereas in Common Greens it's much heftier!
