| | | Meadow Brown Vs Large Heath Help with ID please i have this in my Gallery as a Meadow Brown, but i just had an email saying im wrong its a Large Heath, looking in the book again it does say the Large Heath always rests with wings closed, and ive found this to be the case with these am i right or wrong thank you...Ray

| | | Re: Meadow Brown Vs Large Heath The pattern Ray - look at those two almost invisible dark spots on the hind wing for example. And the lack of the cream mark. Scale-for-scale this fits MB to a T. Even the planer Large Heaths without rings would not fit your photo.
I can't say much more than that as I have no experience with LHs, forms, distribution etc.
