| | | Bug requires ID help please S. Devon. Blackthorn lined narrow lane through farmland 25/07/11. Quite small, around 5 or 6 mm.
It seemed rather distinctive so I thought this would be an easy one. But, so far I have drawn a blank; or I have overlooked something obvious, which can occur.
My initial thought was Lygus rugulipennis but closer inspection appears to rule this out.
Any suggestions appreciated. |

| | | Re: Bug requires ID help please Thanks for the ID.
I have found it on British Bugs now. I think that the possible problem which caused me to overlook it was that the eyes in the BB small thumbnails looked darker.
But it is always easier when you know what you are looking for. |

| | | Re: Bug requires ID help please ps. I have just done a search on GBIF and find this species, like so many others, hasn't been recorded here.
There seems to be a great shortage of insect recording in Devon, with so many of the 'less popular' species being missed. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
