But who knows?!  | Yes and yes.  the only one similar to Eupeodes luniger is E. lapponicus which has a deeply swerved R4+5 vein, and no yellow at the lateral margins of T5 but you are unlikely to see that.
S. scripta male is most likely, the wings look to be short.
