| | | Re: Beetle Forum!!! Well that's very kind of you to mention thank you. I haven't got a Yahoo account mind. Are you a member there?
I would create a forum for it meself but i'm not very savvy with stuff like that. There is a forum for flies, (Diptera), tsk.
Even this website doesn't have a special beetles section. I thought they were the most popular of insects? |

I would say that you could judge which was the most popular insect group by looking at the number of available field guides etc. (publishers print books that they think they can sell - and then once guides are in print the group is more readily 'accessible' to those who wish to study them).
Butterflies seem to be at the top of the list, closely followed by moths, and then perhaps dragonflies. Beetles are relatively low in the popularity stakes because you need specialist keys to identify most of them.
Have you tried coleoptera.org for a discussion forum? |

| | | Re: Beetle Forum!!! Butterflies are boring, they fly away from you all the time. At least beetles have the courage to stick around.
Put it here, if it was beetles verse flies, who would win in a fight?
I reckon you'r right about the book sales though.
Thanks for the link. I can't quite see how to get to the forum bit though. |

Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Beetle Forum!!! Good evening noble Knight thank you for your cortesy.
I've never sought out many beetles, except for Common Red Soldier Beetles (or as I call 'em, Redcoats), I always know where to find them. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
