| | | Unidentified Longhorn Beetle Hello, I found this beetle in flight just outside my house, it was constantly on the move and it proved difficult to get a picture - apologies for the poor example picture.
You will see from the photograph the antannae are very large and jagged. You cannot see very well from the picture, but this beetle also has a fairly large set of jaws.
I would love to know the species, as I've not found any examples fitting the description in any books I have.
Many Thanks |

I will submit a record to Sussex Biodiversity Records Centre.

| | | Re: Unidentified Longhorn Beetle Good for you Wasp beetle for submiting the record to your local biodiversity information centre.
It would also be possible to submit your record to a local natural history society, if you have one,and they often pass the records on to the above as batches of records.

Best thing to do with a nice record like this is to send it directly to the National Recording Scheme, with a copy to the local BRC. That way you know it has got to the correct place.
The Longhorn Scheme is run by Dr Martin Rejzek bodo.bodemeyer3@ntlworld.com BRC - Recording Sceme details | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
