| | | Possible Cricket for ID.. Not sure if this a cricket..can someone Id if for me I have looked on google but the crickets do not look like this.. 
The nearest I got was a dark bush cricket it was in my garden I leave the grass long round the pond.
Are grasshoppers and crickets the same thing..

This looks like a rather mottled Field Grasshopper to me.
Yes, Grasshoppers and Crickets are different,with crickets you will usually see much longer antennae and the females have large ovipositors for example.
