White & Hogkinson (HIBI key to the nymphs) is utterly obscure until one gets an eye in.
Ashe's picture captures most of the 'macro' features. Unfortunately all the keys rely on micro features & require mounted specimens.
Nymphs of Trioza remota are probably the easiest to find (they should be a decent size by now), just check a few oaks. I think I persuaded Ukwildlifeo to take a macro photo last year, but I dont know if it found its way on here or on to his Flickr stream. I also noted lots of nymphs running over sallow leaves I'd collected for leaf-miners last autumn.

| | | Re: unid bug nymph There's a list of food-plants in the HIBI key to adults, but I don't have that one. (I bought the larval key 'cos it was cheap whilst browsing at Pembury Books: essentially in the noise for my purchases that day).
Unfortunately, I don't think Ecoflora have run through host plants for psyllids, so there is no obvious compilation on the web. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
