| | | ID : Cricket species. Afternoon WAB,
During a brief visit to Braunton Burrows yesterday I came across a small cricket nymph whilst having lunch in the dune system. I have uploaded some images of the specimen. Despite having Evans and Edmondson I am none the wiser as to what species it could be.
Is this identifable or too young for that?
Regards,
Andrew. |

Hi Andrew
The Grasshoppers and Allied Insects of Great Britain and Ireland by Judith A.Marshall and E.C.M Haes has cockroaches and nymphs in it as well, but is missing recent additions such as the Sickle- bearing Bush Cricket and Southern Oak Bush Cricket.I agree on a Dusky Cockroach nymph for this I.d |

| | | Re: ID : Cricket species. Evening,
Thanks for all the replies and the correction. I did at first think Cockroach species but the FSC chart put me right off track. The book mentioned is out of print but it is on my expanding wish list for sure. I will hold back and keep looking for a cheap one on fleabay.
Regards,
Andrew. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
