Queen Tree wasps?
Today was the first warm day we have had for a while in Cheshire and our Tree wasp nest was very busy with activity. Some of the wasps were much larger than the usual little wasps so I am assuming that they are new Queen Tree Wasps.

The nest now seems to be deserted, do the new queens take some of the old workers with them like bees or have all the old workers died off and the new queen starts from scratch?
