you got me wrong, because I wrote in a misunderstanding way. The beetle in the photo is Carabus clathratus. I was thinking about the many others you can find. But your explanations are absolutely reasonable. It makes sense. I guess I should be visiting your area.  Is it moore or what kind of habitat is it?
I would be very glad if you can send this beetle over. I'm not sure, but maybe it is a different subspecies than the german ones. In that way I'm very interrested. Thank you so much in advance. Quote: |

| I'm sure someone will. There are to many coleopterologists who seem to have plenty of time and nothing reasonable to do. It would have been more intelligent if Luff would have ask the ICZN for keeping the old name (this is absolutely possible). But it is always the same. I better keep the rest of my opinion for me.
