Help Please.

My son just said that a fly was bothering him. We brushed it away and it kept coming back. We noticed that it didn't fly it just ran, scurried.Its hard to explain as it was quite fast. we kept brushing it away and it just kept coming back. It did have a pair of wings though! Unfortunatley it has only one now, from the many brushing offs. It is green and a grey browny colour but seems very flat. I manged to catch it and took a photo. My son is sure he was bitten, but I think that was more imagination than anything else. I have tried to search, but not sure where to start.



Please help as we would like to know.
