Particular dragonfly
Hi, me again! This time its a dragonfly I photographed (albeit on my phone, not great). I have had a look around and thought it was a "Norfolk Darter", but upon closer inspection that variety has brown eyes. This one definitely had very shiny turquoise eyes with, as you can see, turquoise highlights. It was about 4-5" long, I'd say.

Its a Brown Hawker.

I see far more Emperors than Brown Hawkers. Hope yopu see one soon as they are stunning dragonflies, though the numbers of this species will start tailing off soon.

Where abouts are you in the UK?
