| | | [pic] A siamese fly or two flies mating? I managed to catch and take a photo of this fly that was on the wall in my house. It's quite strange, I've seen nothing like it before.
It appears to be two flies directly on top of each other. When I first disturbed them, I expected them just to separate, but they flew away attached to each other, as if they're actually conjoined... 4 sets of wings went flapping away.
From looking on Google, it seems that when flies mate they do it back to back, so maybe some more knowledgeable folk can give some insight...
They're still in the jar, and still together, occasionally flying around if disturbed.
Feel quite guilty that I may have interrupted something beautiful between these two.
And don't worry, that phone number isn't even real. I was testing out the pen... |

Yes they look like mating flies, they often stick together and fly off still attached until job done. It depends on the type of fly whether they mate end to end or the male on top.
Now you can let the lovebirds go to do their thing, she's probably ready to lay her eggs.
