Can anyone help a novice?

Hello!!

I was wondering if you could help me by telling me what is currently taking over my garden at the moment!! I have no pictures but the description is as follows:

Body sculpted sort of like a wood louse
two orange stripes on either side of body near head
6 legs in total

I have never seen them in the 6 years I have lived at my house and they seem to be getting everywhere and making me squirm - PLEASE HELP!!!

Try a Google for "Harlequin Ladybird Larva" - that sounds like it might be your bug.

Thank you so much for your help, they are exactly what they are. I'm actually quite pleased as I love ladybirds so I feel quite honored!! I have to admit I was freaked out at first as they were everywhere but if they turn into my favorite insect i don't care.

Thank you again, it's my first time doing this. Wasn't sure it would work.

They aren't exactly the traditional friendly English Ladybirds. Have a read of this site Harlequin Ladybird Survey - Recognition and Distinction

Oh great, what do I do then?? I don't exactly want to be the breeder of the horrible one!! What a shame I was really happy. I thought I was helping the seven spot.
