Hiya, folks.
I came across a busy bank of bees whilst reptile surveying near Brimpton in west Berkshire - literally hundreds of bees flying and crawling about lots of holes in a south-facing gravel/sand/soil bank. I managed to get a few photos of two particular types, and would appreciate help with identification. I've had a quick look on the BWARS website, but still not sure.
Bee 1 - Cuckoo bee, Nomada sp. (possibly Nomada fucata?)
Bee 2 - Mining bee, Andrena sp. (possibly Andrena flavipes?)
Cheers.
