No relection on your housekeeping skills, but not all mealworms come in boxes from the petshop, as a "wild" species they are a frequent inhabitant of houses. |

Klaas | Strangely enough, there is, Klaas, but bot an old one - it was built in the 1960's! |

| | | Re: Beetle ID anyone? Hi jezlee,
What do you think? Strange how one can know you're living close to a church? It's easy to explain and has got nothing to do with magic.
It doesn't matter how old the church is. Churches are inhabited of a number of animals, the old ones more than the newer ones. Because of all this life in churches Tenebrio molitor found its way to still live with men (living synanthropic) without being the pest it was in former times in corn and similar things.
At night some of the beetles leave the church to settle somewhere new. Flying by orientating at the moonlight keeps them going a straight way. When they reach our houses our lights mislead them into our houses and I guess that's what you have found: misleaded beetles, coming from church (no, they didn't pray before for a good flight ), entering your house also they didn't want to. And now they are just looking for a way out.
Regards
Klaas

Well, I helped him find his way out into the back garden, so that's okay!
Thanks, Klaas! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
