Wasp and beetle IDs please

is this a Potter Wasp of some kind? It was taken in Leicestershire in May.

EDIT: I've just found another thread about the Potter Wasp - Ancistrocerus parietinus and the difficulties of identifying Ancistrocerus wasps to species level. So to my untrained eye this does look like Ancistrocerus sp. and possibly Ancistrocerus parietinus.





and are these Cantharis sp. Soldier Beetles? Taken in Leicestershire in June.

The wasp looks rather like mine, I guess you have seen the other threads?

two micro's and wasp?

The beetles I think are Cantharis nigricans.
