Gall (I think) for ID please
Hi All,

There were quite a few of these down at Crossness last week...



About ten millimetres long by six or seven wide and maybe five high, they were on the leaves of common reed. They look like they're made of silk attached to the plant so probably not technically a gall. Does anyone know what might be responsible?

It looks similar to the spider Tetragnatha egg sacs which everyone recently was posting. The outer covering looks torn away.
