Black & white shield bug for ID

Think I've seen these before over the years, so sort of sure it's a common one.

But looking around I can't find a match, not Sehirus bicolor or Tritomegas bicolor ?

Or is it a nymph (how do you tell), it's 6mmm long not including antennae.

It is an adult - the wings reach the end of the abdomen - but freshly moulted, the wings have not turned their final ( darker) colour yet.

looks like Sehirus luctuosus. was it found near forget-me-nots?

Ok I see, so probably most of the upper surface will darken then I guess.

Yes!, a forget-me-not infested garden was where I saw it,
so this species is quite variable looking at different stages looking at:

I think what confused me, in terms of id, was that most available images seem to be of the nymph stages.
