| | | What are these beetles? Can anybody tell me what these beetles are? They are tiny, about 3mm in length and they are absolutely everywhere in my garden at the moment. Whichever flower head you look at, you will find these beetles all over it. I am presuming they are feeding off pollen? |

| | | Re: What are these beetles? There are 61 species reported from Centraleurope. I guess it will be a little less in the UK, but surely about 50, most of them black and looking all the same. Determination just by dissecting the genitalia.

No, other insects do have a chance. You can often see Pollenbeetles together with many other beetles and also other insects feeding pollen and nectar.
