2 is one of the green lacewings which are good at demolishing aphids in the garden; often attracted to light. |

I'd say Cream-spot Ladybird, Calvia 14-guttata .For the second the best I can say is that is a Lacewing.Hopefully somebody will do better on that.

| | | Re: Nice couple of insects for ID Thanks very much. Apparently there are 2000 species of lacewing, so I don't expect to ever get the exact one. Green lacewing is good enough for me.
