All spotted today in Norfolk.
Hover-fly 1:
Handsome fuzzy guy that I guess is male?
Hover-fly 2: Eristalis female maybe?
Hover-fly 3:
Now I'm not sure if this even is a hover-fly? but never mind. Found on woodland path. Female at a guess?

The first is Eristalis intricarius, second Myathropa florea.

| | | Re: 3 Hover-flies for ID I don't think number 3 is Volucella pellucens, my fly doesn't have a yellow face or red eyes. Also Volucella pellucens holds its wings differently and does not have white hairs like that.
