Bug for ID please
Saw this handsome beast down at Crossness today and thought it was one I photographed last year, but it's not. It doesn't look like it's in Complete British Insects and I can't see it on the British Bugs website. I only looked in the Heteroptera pages - that was right wasn't it?



Any ideas?

I suspect it is in Complete British Insects Dave. But read the note about colour changes.

Meadow Plant Bug - Leptopterna dolabrata. But that is just a suggestion. This is a complicated group and I'm not an expert.
