At first I thought this was a Bloody-nosed Beetle, then I read that they don't fly, and this one attempted to fly, nearest I could get was Dor Beetle, but not convinced:

It looks like a Chrysomelid - perhaps Galeruca sp. What did you find it on?

Thanks guys,

I didn't find it on anything in particular, I saw one wandering around on the grass initially, then later on it appeared on our concrete. It took me 10 seconds to go and get my camera, by which time it had made it all the way up our table umbrella!

I also saw another one later that day round my sister-in-law's again on the grass.
