ID help please
Hi all.

Could I ask if someone might be able to ID this beauty.

About 12mm long.

Afternoon Vince,

It's a Hoverfly from the Xylota genus - could be X. segnis which is the most common, but tarda is only separated by examination of the line of subtle spines under the hind femur.

Roger may have this one of habitus.
