| | Osmia sp (poss aurulenta?) for ID please Hi all
Could this be an Osmia aurulenta female? (Gold-fringed mason bee). Medium sized bee on yellow composites in my garden the other day. Only managed this one photo but you can clearly see the red haired thorax and red/gold hairs on abdomen, as well as the golden hairs under the abdomen.
Let me know what you think... Cheers. Jane |

| | | Re: Osmia sp (poss aurulenta?) for ID please Thanks Stuart. I wonder if it could have been sleeping and I disturbed it... a possibility, as it didn't hang around or move to another flower. Jane | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
