Digger Wasp - Crossocerus megacephalus possibly?

Not a good photo and no chance of keying from the wing veins. So I'm mostly just guessing here. In fact I wouldn't even guarantee that it is one of the Sphecidae family.



Any suggestions appreciated.

Forget black-bodied Crossocerus photographically - they can be difficult-enough with specimens.

Admittedly, Jason, I usually give up on photos of these; but I just wondered if the distinctive hind legs held any chance of identification.

That is the only quick snap I'm afraid.

But, for me, a confirmation of Crossocerus sp. is something of an achievement.

So thanks for that anyway.
