This one is quite distinctive. looks like a lobster. very bright red upper, whiteish belly. A Harvestman of some sort??

They are usually noticeably red or pinkish.
The usual pale body centre line is absent although there seems to be the start of a pale line behind the ocularium. The tibiae seem to be quite sharply angular.
Second leg should be 14 to 18 mm long.
I did find my first one for this year in my garden today; although it is a bit on the pale side. It is possibly still a bit early yet but many things are early this year. |

| | | Re: Poor pictures but can anyone id 4 spiders for me please. The first spider rather looks like the Garden Spider Araneus diadematus but that is a difficult angle.
The second is a Pardosa species but I wouldn't like to give a firm identification as there are several virtually identical species.
Much the same goes for the Crab Spider. I suspect one of the Philodromus species. |
