Hi Folks,
Can anyone help with the ID of this fly I can't seem to find it in any of my reference books and I'm stuck, I thought it might be one of the conops spp but again can't find it, Is there a good web site for flys?

The best UK site I know for flies is Diptera.info - News chock full of truly expert experts.
I think that you have do a Conopid fly here, possibly Physocephala sp. but I am guessing here. Cool beastie though
