| | | Solitary bee on Astrantia for ID please Wondered if this could be Andrena wilkella or A. ovatula?
Bees of Surrey says: Medium sized bee with "interrupted white hair bands on abdomen and orange hind tibiae" for A. wilkella (but I know A. ovatula is very similar).
This was photographed in my garden in Dorset
Many thanks. Jane

| | | Re: Solitary bee on Astrantia for ID please Of course it is... God, it's so obvious once you know what it is!
Many thanks Stuart for guiding me down the right path! My gut feeling was that my suggestions weren't right - but I just couldn't suss out what it was.
