Question strange invert?
Hi,
I dont even know if this is the right forum...........................this was on a leaf at the side of a pond today.
It raised its rear end sort of leechish but went back flat when it noticed me.
Most strange front end.
I have no idea, developing snail-ish maybe? so grateful for any suggestions/steer.

Afternoon Ken,

It's the last stage of a Harlequin Ladybird larva, shedding it's skin and revealing the puparium.

Afternoon Jason, you genius!
That explains the tail raising, as the larvae do as a threat posture I suppose.
Not something I've seen before, brilliant nature isnt it.
