| | moth, springtail snipe fly? Another tricky one..............or three!
Tiny moth in upland grass, near larch and mixed stuff, I'm useless at these, but maybe maybe Scoparia arundinata?
Then this, is it a springtail, ? under rotting birch polypore.
last, seems like a Snipe fly,Rhagio spp but I'm not at all sure.
Grateful for any help.
Cheers
Ken

| | | Re: moth, springtail snipe fly? I think the last one might be a male Chrysopilus cristatus.
The wings had reminded me of the female one I had taken a picture of not long ago so I googled what the male looks like.
This is the female:

| | | Re: moth, springtail snipe fly? Hi Ken,
I think the moths is Dipleurina lacustrata.
Springtail not sure about, it looks to be in Tomoceridae and could be Tomocerus minor or Tomocerus (Pogonognathellus) flavescens but I'm no expert!
Last fly, male Chrysopilus cristatus looks good to me.

Excellent links too Janet, ta.
That'll help with a bioblitz I'll be part of.
Cheers
