Hover Fly I.d help new pic

I've added another pic of the number 2,showing the hover fly's
hind legs.

Kevin, I don't need to see the hind leg as I could see the front feet are orange and Eristalis pertinax is the only one with orange front feet. But thanks anyway!

This would have been better on the other thread where you asked for ID, make sure you do that next time to keep the pics together.

Sometimes, Kevin, even a poor quality photo will just show that little bit extra which enables a confident identification.

Where possible, top, side and face shots are perfect. Although in a few cases you really need to show specific features, like Platycheirus males for example where a really close shot of their 'toes' is absolutely ideal.

The problem which I find, is getting them to adopt a perfect pose.
