| | | Re: 3 Hover Flies for i.d please The first is an interesting find; Chrysotoxum bicinctum. I found my first ever specimen this year and I'm now seeing one or two a day at just one small spot.
The second is an Eristalis species; but I'm not really keen on committing myself any further without some other angles.
The third is a Helophilus species; but once again I would like some other angles before proceeding.
I could venture a guess on the last two but that is all it would be without seeing the hind legs, and a face shot would also help. |

#3 shows sufficient yellow/orange on the hind femur and tibia to be Helophilus pendulus.
