#4 genus Omaloplia (syn. Homaloplia) and I think it is O. ruricola, but not for sure. There are some similar species in Europe and I don't know which of them appear in the UK.
Regards
Klaas

Klaas | Not sure if it is this one Klaas...don't know if i'm looking at it wrong, but i'm possitive i can see a tooth on the hind femora?
If that's the case could D. versicolorea be the most likely?

| | | Re: 3 Insects for ID please Hi guys and thanks for all the input. I've been checking the donacia spp. and don't know about anything scientific but the colouring looks more like thalassina to me? I checked NBN Gateway and semicuprea's range doens not extend into Scotland. What do you think?

in some way you are right and I'm an idiot. Maybe for excuse it was late in the evening and I was tired (11:48 UK-time is one hour later in Germany ) and flipt threw it a little to fast.
You are right in the fact that this is not Donacia semicuprea. It isn't even a Donacia, but Plateumaris and in this P. sericea.
Thank's for your thoughts and help.
Regards
Klaas

Klaas | Well i never...it never occured to look at Plateumaris.
Your far from an idiot Klaas, it just proves how important it is to have specimens in hand.
