Wasps

Hello,Today I walked past my beech tree and the stem was covered in wasps ..well over a thousand of them.Later on I went out to look again and they had all gone.Is there a chance they could be back tomorrow?No sign of a nest .

I don't know much about wasps, but this thread should really be in the Insects forum.

Hi there..No Im certsain they were wasps I took some photos.I will have a look and see how to upload them onto this site Many thanks

Had a further look and Im sure now they were bees..Silly me!! Im just so pleased I didnt zap them.When I went back out a fewhours later ...they had all gone and not a bit of evidence that they had been.Im pleased I took photos otherwise Id have thoughtI was imagining things
