It looks like you have some type of Carabid there. Don't think you will get it to species from this photo...though it does have that Poecilus look about it ??

| | | Re: Unidentified Beetle There is only one thing I can tell you for photos like this, but it would not satisfy you: experience!
It's the habitus that gives a difference, but you need to see a lot of Harpalus and a lot of Poecilus to make it. I'm sorry I can't give anything that satifies.
