| | | Re: Grasshopper for ID Nobody every seems keen to have a go at the nymphs; which I suppose is understandable.
The only thing I can suggest is that the keels seem very straight so possibly, Lesser Marsh; Meadow or Common in that order. But I am just guessing. |

| | | Re: Grasshopper for ID Same here. Though not keen on the Common Green. Apart from the keels, I think they always have some green (as adults at least). |

| | | Re: Grasshopper for ID I'm now thinking this is a Meadow. The keels are almost parallel. So I'm suggest that this means that Lesser Marsh and Meadow are the most likely candidates. I'm beginning to think that the shape of the "face" and eye, and their relative dimensions, are different between these two. This one looks like the Meadow (wider eyes and rounder appearance to the side of the "face", as viewed from this angle).
Happy to be proven wrong. |

| | | Re: Grasshopper for ID Lesser Marsh, those side keels are straight, meadow shows a slight curve towards the front this seems to be lacking here. If possible a mention of habitat with the original post can help too. |

| | | Re: Grasshopper for ID Thank you all for your replies. I have posted another image below which may assist'
The location was at Plant Farm near Waterlooville, Hampshire. The area was a very damp part of the field overgrown with reeds.
