Is this the work of leaf cutter bees?
I planted some climbing roses this year and have just noticed some rather neat semi circular cuts into the leaves. Is this leaf cutter bees at work? I'm curious if it is as I do have some bee boxes up in the garden but have never had any luck with them. If it is them I will make a real effort to site the boxes in better positions as it would be great to have them in the garden!

Certainly looks like it. Put your bee boxes at head height on a wall that gets lots of sun.
