1. Tephritid flies on thistle - are they Urophora cardui? Markings not strong on all:
2. Not on thistle:
3. Xyphosia miliaria?
4. Tachinid fly - Tachina fera?:
5. Hoverfly:

I've still got one that I am unsure of, so I would prefer to let someone else have a go at these.
Your hoverfly rather looks like a well worn Cheilosia illustrata to me. |
